Terms and Conditions

1. General Information
   These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of services provided by Ricky’s Driving School (“we,” “us,” or “the School”). By booking or attending lessons with us, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Lessons and Bookings
   1. Lessons can be booked via our website, phone, or in person, subject to availability.
   2. All lessons are subject to instructor availability.
   3. You must hold a valid provisional driving license issued by the DVLA before taking any lessons.
   4. The lesson duration is typically 1 or 2 hours unless otherwise agreed.
   5. You agree to be punctual for lessons. Late arrivals may result in a shortened lesson, with the full amount payable.
3. Payments and Fees
   1. Payment must be made in advance or at the start of the lesson.
   2. Our prices are subject to change. However, any changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect pre-paid lessons.
   3. Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or cash.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
   1. You must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
   2. Failure to give the required notice will result in the full lesson fee being charged.
   3. In the event of an instructor needing to cancel a lesson, we will attempt to reschedule at the earliest convenience without additional charges.
5. Refunds
   1. Refunds for prepaid lessons will only be given if the lessons have been canceled with 48 hours’ notice or if the instructor is unable to complete the lesson.
   2. No refunds will be given for completed lessons or unused prepaid lessons after 6 months from the purchase date.
6. Student Responsibilities
   1. You must be in a fit and proper condition to drive during each lesson (e.g., not under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that impairs driving ability).
   2. You must bring your provisional license to every lesson.
   3. You are responsible for providing any necessary DVSA documentation for tests.
7. Instructor Responsibilities
   1. All instructors are DVSA-approved and will conduct lessons in a professional and safe manner.
   2. Instructors reserve the right to terminate the lesson if they believe the student is not in a suitable condition to drive.
   3. The instructor will make every effort to arrive punctually for lessons. In the event of delays, additional lesson time will be offered.
8. Practical Driving Tests
   1. Your instructor will advise you when they believe you are ready to take the DVSA practical driving test.
   2. We can assist with booking the test, but availability is dependent on the DVSA schedule.
   3. The use of the instructor’s vehicle for your test is subject to the instructor’s approval.
9. Liability
   1. Ricky’s Driving School and its instructors are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or damages that occur outside of driving lessons or as a result of negligence on the part of the student.
   2. Fines, penalties, or damage to the vehicle incurred during a lesson due to irresponsible or negligent behaviour by the learner will be the responsibility of the learner.
10. Complaints
    1. Any complaints should be raised directly with the School or your instructor. We aim to resolve complaints within 10 business days.
11. Privacy
    1. We will collect and store personal data such as your name, contact details, and license number for the purposes of delivering lessons and services.
    2. Your data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
12. Governing Law
    1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
